Patagonia, Tierra Del Fuego, Strait of Magellan, Ushuaia, names sound the End of The World…

Patagonie, Terre de Feu, Détroit de Magellan, Ushuaia, des noms qui sonnent le out du monde…

Ah Patagonia, the vast green landscape. But the wind blows so strong. I remember a very strong wind in Australia but in Patagonia its worse. So much so that it’s very difficult to ride a bike. One day the wind so violent made me ride at 5km/heure only, holding on very strongly the handlebar. Then I turn the handlebars in spite of myself, impossible to recover, causing me to make a U turn on the road.

Ah la Patagonie, cette immensité avec des paysages de verdure à perte de vue. Mais que le vent y souffle fort. Je me souviens d’un vent très fort en Australie mais là, c’est pire encore. A tel point qu’il est très difficile d’y faire du vélo. Un jour, le vent tellement violent me faisait rouler à 5km/heure en m’obligeant à cramponner très fortement le guidon. Puis il m’a fait tourner le guidon malgré moi, impossible à redresser, me faisant faire un demi tour sur la route; de la folie !

 

But what happiness at night to camp in these spaces. Admittedly, I had  much interest in drive in tent pegs if I didn’t want fly.

Mais quel bonheur le soir de planter la tente dans ces espaces. Certes, j’avais intérêt à bien enfoncer les piquets si je ne voulais pas m’envoler.
